Mallorca has always been a special place for me. It’s where I spent countless childhood summers on family holidays, and where I got engaged. This year felt meaningful once again - my first trip back as the founder of Isabelle Meira.
After arriving in the Tramuntana mountains of Deià with a suitcase full of swimwear, I slipped straight into holiday mode: poolside lounging followed by a long, leisurely lunch and a chilled glass of rosé.
Most mornings began with a long walk through the Tramuntana mountains, weaving past terracotta villas, down cobbled streets, and towards the beach. I loved getting lost among hidden coves and discovering the quiet corners that make Deià so endlessly charming.
Days slipped by in a haze of sun and stillness. I’d lose myself in a book by the pool, breaking only for those long Mediterranean lunches: warm, crusty bread dipped in olive oil, fresh grilled seafood, and glasses of Muga Rosé. Conversations flowed as easily as the wine, and the inevitable “what are you wearing tonight?”
Each afternoon ended with a plunge pool dip- just enough to recharge before slipping into something for dinner. Evenings were spent at family-run restaurants, enjoying plates of food made with love, while the sun disappeared into the sea.
The trip closed with a final breakfast of croissants, coffee, and fresh fruit before packing up and heading home. Once again, Mallorca left its mark, gifting me a week of memories to carry back into everyday life.
